تزكيةAbout us
Made in the UK, for Muslims in the UK
Tzkia is a small, independent prayer app. We're building it ourselves, testing it with a group of Muslims across the country, and changing it based on what they tell us.
Why Tzkia
Tazkiyah means purifying the soul: the slow, everyday work of becoming a better Muslim. Prayer is at the centre of that, so that's where Tzkia starts.
We wanted a prayer app that gets UK times right, knows your own mosque's jama'ah, and helps with the small things, like keeping count of your rak'ahs or catching up on qada, without adverts or anything competing for your attention.
What we believe
- Your worship is between you and Allah. The prayer journal has no streaks, points or badges. You only share your prayers with a circle if you choose to.
- No adverts, ever.Nothing to scroll past between prayers.
- Your data isn't for sale. Most of Tzkia works without an account. If you make one, you can delete it and everything in it from inside the app.
- Your location stays on your phone.Prayer times only need your town.
Who we are
Tzkia is made by Natasha Card and Talha Zaheer.
We read every message. If something's wrong, if your mosque's times don't match, or if you'd like to help test the app, email us at support@tzkia.com.
Run a mosque? You can claim your mosque's page in the app to keep its jama'ah times, Ramadan timetable and events up to date.
